Jobs Overview

Back to History

Viewing a past revision from Sep 20, 2026, 9:29 AM by Clover Team. This is not the current version.

FreeRealms is built around jobs rather than a single fixed class. You can try any job, switch between them whenever you like, and level each one up on its own separate track, all the way up to level 20 (level 4 for most jobs if you aren't a member).

The Three Styles of Job

Jobs fall into three broad styles, and the style shapes how you earn experience:

  • Combat jobs - fighting the world's more hostile inhabitants, both out in the wilds and in dungeon instances. Combat jobs also spend Stars to strengthen their abilities. Brawler, Archer, Medic, Ninja, Warrior, and Wizard all fall here.
  • Crafting jobs - turning ingredients bought from vendors or gathered out in the world into finished items, leveled up through job-specific quests and mini-games. Blacksmith, Chef, and Miner are the crafting jobs.
  • Freestyle jobs - mostly quest-driven, with experience coming from quests, mini-games, and general exploration rather than a fixed loop. Adventurer, Card Duelist, Demolition Derby Driver, Fisherman, Kart Driver, Pet Trainer, Postman, and Soccer Star are all freestyle.

Unlocking a Job

Most jobs unlock simply by talking to a trainer NPC for that profession - and most professions have several trainers scattered around the world, not just one. A few jobs (Postman, for instance) instead kick off with an introduction quest triggered by interacting with something in the world, which then points you toward a trainer. Some jobs also require you to have tried another job first, or to be a member past level 4.

Job Statistics

Job Statistics are stat bonuses that affect how your character performs in job-related mini-games, and they can be found in the "About Me" section of the Job window. Which stats matter depends on your job's style:

  • Combat jobs care about Health, Energy, Attack, and Defense.
  • Crafting jobs that gather/match (Blacksmith, Miner, Postman) care about a trio of "Matcher" stats that make match-3-style mini-games easier.
  • Crafting jobs that make things (Chef) care about a trio of "Maker" stats tied to the cooking mini-game.

These bonuses come from job level itself, or from clothing, weapons, tools, accessories, and shards that carry the matching stat bonus in their tooltip.
