Housing & Decorating
Every player can own one or more lots - personal housing spaces that can be furnished, decorated, and shown off to friends. Lots are reached through the house icon on the bottom panel of the interface; if you own more than one, that same icon lets you pick which house to visit.
Getting a Lot
Both members and non-members start with a free apartment. Members additionally get a free starter house by claiming the Members Only New House Package, and a further upgrade is available for purchase through the SC Marketplace for players who want more room to decorate.
Decorating
Lots can be filled with a wide variety of items, indoors and out - everything from plain furniture like beds, dressers, and bathtubs to interactive pieces that do something when used. Decorating is entirely up to you: mix and match to build whatever theme you like.
Locking and the Housing Directory
If you're happy with a layout, a lot can be locked to keep it from being accidentally rearranged. Players can also submit a named house to the Housing Directory, where other players can browse and rate houses from one to five stars, sorted by rating, views, or how recently they were added. A house in the Directory can't be modified until it's pulled back out - and removing it resets its rating and view count back to zero if it's ever resubmitted.
Visiting Friends
You can visit a friend's lot straight from your friends list to see how they've decorated their own space and pick up ideas for yours.
